ISS Best Scientific Paper Award

Ms WU Su, a PhD student under the supervision of Prof James Griffith, awarded the Best Scientific Paper Award at the International Skeletal Society (ISS) Annual Meeting in Montréal, September 2024. The ISS is the foremost musculoskeletal imaging conference worldwide. Over 70 scientific abstracts were received around the world. There were twelve oral presentation which was presented to a team of international musculoskeletal experts.
The paper was a nine-year follow-up study of early rheumatoid arthritis patients with clinical, serological, radiographic, and MRI assessments at baseline, year-one, and year-eight. Two different patterns of ERA-related long term structural damage were observed.
